Christmas Eve 2019 at the Hornepayne Cemetery was lit up with over 300 Memorial Ice Candles by the Hornepayne Hospital Auxiliary members and other thoughtful volunteers. The warm glow of the star candles is a memorial to loved ones passed and are placed on behalf of their family and friends each year at Christmas time. The names of each candle and who it was purchased for, will be posted soon. Please check out a small gallery of photos below and stay tuned for the list of names.
KidSport Hornepayne would like to acknowledge the donation of $ 6,400.00 after expenses from the Fifth Anniversary of Jack’s Last Party which occurred on August 11th, 2019. KidSport Hornepayne would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to Jack and his team of volunteers, guests and sponsors. Thanks to all of you we can provide grants to cover the costs of registration in both team and individual sports for the budding athletes of our community.
KidSport Hornepayne is a non-profit organization that believes no child should be left on the sideline and every child should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of organized sports. Our purpose is to provide support to local families in need by removing financial barriers that prevent them from registering their children in sports. We provide grants to cover costs of registration and equipment in both team and individual sports.
Since 2004, KidSport Hornepayne has operated as a not-for-profit charitable community chapter of the national and provincial KIDSPORT program.
We can't do it without all of YOU! Thank-you for your continued support, So All Kids Can Play
Thanks to a group of great musicians from the GTA, Hornepayne is participating in Culture Days! Music, art, theatre, all brought to us by the creative talents of Sophia Perlman and her partners in art! Check out the link below, and you will be brought to the Ontario Culture Days website, with all the details. More on Sopia in another post, and her unlikely, but interesting connection to Hornepayne!!!
